Clearing the Routes People Use
Sidewalk service should connect the areas people need to reach, not stop at a general promise to “clear the property.” We will work with you to identify the paths that need to be included in your proposal and any areas that need different equipment, hand work, or additional attention.
-
Homes/Multi-Tenant, Private, etc: City walks, front walks, agreed driveway-to-door paths, and specified entry areas.
-
Businesses and hotels: Customer and guest walks, handicapped areas, storefront approaches, and agreed entrance routes.
-
HOA and COA communities: Common sidewalks, park walkways, building approaches, and other shared pedestrian areas.
-
Churches and educational properties: Agreed routes serving entrances, gatherings, and daily activities.
Equipment-Assisted Clearing and Hand Shoveling
We assess your individual property's specifics, considering the surface layout, and available snow storage to determine how your walkways need to be cleared. Equipment can serve suitable areas, while hand tools may be needed for tighter spaces and details.
If your property requires hand-shoveling-only service, let us know when you request an estimate. Availability and suitability need to be confirmed before work is scheduled.
Plan for Accumulation and Snow Storage
Repeated storms can change the space available beside a walkway. Your winter plan should address where cleared snow can go and what happens when those storage areas become constrained. We will discuss this with you to help shape a plan that you can be confident in.
Widening Walks, pile moving, or hauling may be additional work that is needed due to large accumulations of snow. We offer these 'As Requested' and/or 'As Needed' to make sure we provide the services you need with 'No' Surprises.
Include Ice Management in the Conversation
Snow clearing and de-icing are related but separate tasks. Ask us to identify whether treatment of sidewalks, entrances, or other agreed areas is included in your proposal.
A cleared route is not a guarantee that slippery conditions cannot develop. Keep reporting new or changing concerns through the agreed communication channel.
